Rayo: Single Origin Colombian Coffee Beans | Zesto Coffee

Product details

Brew Tips
  • Espresso: Bright + chocolatey; great as a straight shot or cortado.
  • Americano: Pull a double shot over hot water for a longer cup; the caramel and orange stay clear and juicy.
  • Flat white: Caramel and chocolate come through silky steamed milk; a ristretto-style double keeps the brightness from getting lost.
  • Pour-over: Brings out citrus and berries–use a slightly finer grind if it tastes too light.

Tasting Notes

Caramel, chocolate, orange, lime, raisins and berries. Juicy, chocolatey and bright, with a clean, crisp finish.

Origin & Processing

Produced by Luz Helena Salazar at La Leona farm (Armenia, Quindío, Colombia), grown at high altitude (~1,450–1,500 m.a.s.l.) in volcanic ash soil. Cherries are picked at peak ripeness, floated and hand-sorted, then undergo ~30 hours of underwater fermentation before pulping. The parchment is gently washed and dried in temperature-controlled conditions to reach ideal moisture.

Freshness & Storage

Keep sealed, cool, and dry; avoid fridge odours and humidity. For the best flavour, enjoy within a few weeks of opening.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What grind do you sell?

At Zesto, we only offer whole bean coffee – for maximum freshness. Once ground, coffee begins to lose its natural aromas almost immediately – but keeping it whole locks in all that richness until the very moment you decide it's time for a cup. It's the difference between a good coffee and a great one. We believe that real flavour is worth the extra minute it takes to grind – your taste buds will thank you!

How do I store coffee?

Keep it sealed, cool, and dry—away from heat and sunlight.

When will my coffee arrive?

How do I contact you?
What's inside my order?

What does "fermented" mean for Rayo's processing?

Rayo's cherries undergo ~30 hours of underwater fermentation before washing — it's what gives the cup its clean, vivid sweetness and bright fruit notes.
